Magelungen Development is an employee-owned company that offers qualified treatment and change work for children, adolescents, young adults, and their families. Magelungen conducts treatment and resource schools at primary and secondary school levels. The goal is to create a context in the operations that is manageable, meaningful, and understandable. In all operations, research and evaluation are an integrated part.

About us

Magelungen's resource school in Jönköping caters to students who are in extensive need of special support and require a smaller context to benefit from teaching. The educational environment is thoughtfully designed and adapted based on the students' needs. The groups are small, the teacher density is high, and student health is enhanced to give students the opportunity to develop in their studies and feel successful. The school's staff is committed and has experience working with students who, for various reasons, do not thrive in their previous home schools. We have a systemic and salutogenic perspective where the focus is on working with the whole and building on what works. Our goal is to provide a context where all students can have a chance to succeed based on their conditions.

About the position

As a substitute teacher with us, you will have the opportunity to contribute when the need arises by supporting as a teacher during short interventions. This often involves assignments on short notice, making it a perfect opportunity for you who are studying or have other employment.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is flexible and can teach multiple subjects. Experience working in primary school is an advantage. We place great importance on personal suitability – your ability to collaborate and contribute to a positive work environment is crucial. Since our students have extensive needs for special support, we prefer candidates with experience working with this student category.

The position is a special temporary hourly position.

Criminal record extract

An extract from the criminal record (suspicions and offenses) will be requested - form. Apply in good time, as processing time can be up to two weeks from the time the Police Authority receives a complete application until the extract is sent. Processing time may vary depending on how many requests for extracts are made.
